hogwash
pure and simple. and not even all that entertaining.

i do understand that people seek wisdom but there are better places than pseudoscientific exploitation low budget speculation-fests like this to find it. - Buttercup , posted 03/14/07

meh
It was okay. A lot of what was being discussed sounded half-true, and from what I've read since I saw this I'm thinking it may be more than half. This film did, however, open up a huge well of curiosity in me to start researching the workings of existence. Whether or not I am right about my ideas doesn't matter. I find myself in a much more positive place in life due to this study, and I have this film, partially, to thank for that. - kvD , posted 03/13/07

It was alright
As entertainment, it wasn't terrible. But don't try and take away a deeper understanding of the nature of the universe, as a lot of the science is flawed or just plain inaccurate. It's nowhere near as terrible as The Secret (though that's probably not much of a recommendation). - , posted 03/13/07

I'm going to do you a favor
You want spirituality? Try these guys, there are many more, but you can start here. In terms of fantastic stories, they can't even begin to compete with all the white Americans who know bleep (yes, white Americans most of them) and want to take your money in exchange for a Hallmark view of the world with unicorns and fairies and goddesses and whatnot. These are hard to read, view and understand and can be quite boring. Yet, there's no seminar to attend, no DVD to buy,no crystals or dream catchers, no pyramids, it's all free or at least very cheap. They will not tell you how to get rich or how to lose weight or how to find a romantic partner through the amazing power of positive thinking. So, really, a far inferior product than your what the bleeps, your Secrets, your Celestine Prophecies. But these guys actually walk the walk, and they do not need any fake science to do so. And that is really boring and hard to swallow, I guess.

big steaming pile of bleep
The film is a joke, but as long as it is viewed as such I have no problem with it. However, I'll bet there's a massive correlation between those who actually believe this crap and those that credit Dan Brown with exposing lies and hypocrisy in the Catholic Church. It's just entertainment, people. Please don't take this stuff seriously. you'll be happier in the long run. - Tim , posted 03/13/07

re:toss
Grimm, you forgot to add, total metaphysical BULLSHIT

PS it seems with this, and the secret, that the writers of self help books finally figured out, that the assholes who would buy into this shit, dont read books - , posted 03/13/07

What The *Bleep* do THEY Know?
If you're okay with being inspired by misstatements, phony packaging and propaganda, this movie may be for you. If you're interested in truth, then I suggest watching this film with an open mind - both toward it being accurate, and it being inaccurate. Then do some research. You are likely to find out that the film is based on the teachings of "JZ Knight/Ramtha" who is largely considered a fraud, that the movie doesn't even get simple facts right (the average adult is 55-60% water, not 90% as the movie claims), never mind totally misappropriating quantum physics, and that the "Transcendental Meditation study" and the "Water crystals" work are based on the worst kind of science, and are not taking seriously by real scientists. (For example the "decrease" in crime rate the Transcendental Meditation study took credit for was based on that Transcendental group projecting how much they thought the crime rate would rise without their meditation, and then comparing it to how much it actually DID rise (in other words the crime rate INCREASED) . The drop between their own projection and the eventual amount they decided to call a decrease. (Isn't positive thinking amazing?) I suggest that everyone who has seen this movie at least look around the web a little for reputable sources. Here's a link to the Wikipedia article, just to get you started:

From my point of view the world is full of true wonder and beauty. There's no reason to absorb manipulative propaganda about it so it seems even more miraculous it already is. - Ralph , posted 03/13/07

Awesome Affirmation !!
I saw What the Bleep...right after it came out--in the theatre that the opening scene was shot in...the Bagdad in Portland OR...the place was covered in literature and picture about the water and our thoughts...I'm not sure the film changed the way I think, but I did help give validity to the nutty thoughts I'd had for years... - SkyHawk , posted 04/26/06

Fun movie, but also ridiculous...
The jump between macro and quantum is not so simple. It is a fun movie. Creative and fresh. - Bingo , posted 04/01/06

Inspiring documentary
I had it given to me as a present & what an interesting one it was! Though it did`nt really tell me anything that I did`nt think anyway...it did attempt to connect the spirit with science in a way that I had`nt heard before...recommended highly! - onlineLynne , posted 03/27/06

Funny film!
I enjoyed it too. It was fun to hear a bunch of brilliant minds talking about the nature of things as they exist in spite of our (human) tendancy to explain everything in linear fashion. The wedding reception scene was most memorable... - mountain fairy , posted 03/27/06

I loved it!
I don't even remember why or how I heard about this docudrama...I only know I incurred late fees because I watched it so many times. I was fascinated by the whole film. - janie , posted 03/27/06

THis will change your mind.
Never before have I experienced a film that changed my mind so instantly. I have been hanging on to the netflix copy for quite a while, and just popping it on whenever Im in my room, so as I could maybe grasp a touch more of the concepts put forth in this movie. D
Done in a style that combines documentary, animation, and storyline, "What the Bleep! do we know?!" will literally change the way you think about the world around you, god, and your role in both. EXPERIENCE IT!!!! - Emerendia , posted 03/27/06
